Chocolate and Coffee Surprise

Ingredients:

150 g semibitter chocolate, chopped
100 g walnuts, chopped
1 1/2 cups yogurt
1/3 butter stick
2 tbsp coffee
1 small box meringues

Preparing:

Dissolve coffee in 3 tbsp boiling water and reserve.
Melt chocolate in water bath along with the butter and remove from heat.
Add coffee and finally add the yogurt.
Pour the mixture into individual cups and garnish with walnuts and meringues.

Easter Mango and Nuts Jam

Ingredients:

750 g sugar
200 g chopped walnuts
2 ripe mangos, peeled and cut into cubes
1 lemon, the juice and grated rind zest

Preparing:

Cook over medium heat the mangos with the lemon juice and rind and half the sugar.
Add the remaining sugar and walnuts when boil.
Stir constantly with wooden spoon for 1 hour.
Pour the jam into a clean and sterilized jar.

Frozen Fruits Dessert

Ingredients:

1 cake of 8 1/2 "x11"
800 g condensed milk
3 cups fruit cocktail
2 cups chopped walnuts
2 cups pineapple juice
Juice of 1 lemon

Preparing:

Mix the condensed milk with lemon juice.
Mix fruits with walnuts.

Place a layer of cake in a pyrex.
Bathe with the pineapple juice.
Add the condensed milk mixture and finally fruits and nuts.

Repeat the process twice more and refrigerate for 3 hours.

Thanksgiving Orange, Nuts and Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups traditional oats, uncooked
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup little chopped walnuts
1 tbsp orange zest
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg

Preparing:

Preheat oven to 190°C (380°F).

Beat the butter with brown sugar until get a spongy mixture.
Add flour, baking soda and salt.
Add oats, nuts, chocolate chips and orange zest.

Place teaspoons of the mixture into a greased tray, separated to 5 cm.
Bake for 12 minutes.

Chocolate and Nuts Angels

Ingredients:

1 cup miniature chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup sugar glass
1 egg white

Preparing:

Heat oven to 180C (360ºF).

Mix chocolate chips with the nuts and sugar.
Add the egg and stir well.

Place teaspoons of the mixture into a greased cookie tray.
Bake for 15 minutes.

Walnut and Pecan Bread

Ingredientes:

450 g flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
3/8 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 180ºC (350ºF).

Sift the flour, the cream of tartar, the baking soda and the salt in a bowl.
Add the sugar and the nuts and stir.
Pour in the buttermilk and mix it.

Knead
the dough with floured hands.
Shape into a circle and put it on a floured baking sheet.
Cut a cross in the top of the dough.

Bake
it for 30 minutes.
Then cover with foil and bake for more 15 minutes.
